About Us
After many years spent in the outdoors, travelling and going on adventures, we learnt a disappointing truth. So many people love the idea of travel and adventure, but are intimidated by obstacles like not having the right gear, not knowing where to start, or knowing what to do. We want to change this thinking, by taking travel and adventure back to what it should be; Learning things, meeting people, and having FUN!!!!
OUR DREAM!
Yes we want to sell gear but we also want to do so much more! We started as a blog because we wanted to share our passion for travel and adventure. This has not changed, we want to create a community of people from newbies to experienced, that want to share stories and support each other to get out and explore more. That is why we still run our Facebook group where we encourage people to join and get active in all the events and trips we help to organise!
We dream we can make people feel they are part of something inspiring!!
Morgan was lucky enough to grow up in rural NZ, where the outdoors was part of everyday life. As a classic kiwi the thought of travel and adventure was great, but it wasn’t until his late teens that his huge passion really started to take off. Within a couple of years Morgan became a competent snowboarder, rockclimber, mountain biker and dive instructor. In his early 20s he studied outdoor leadership and bushcraft, then went on to do a degree in environmental studies and become a commercial skipper (yes, Captain Morgan). Once studies were finished, it was time to head overseas. Morgan lived and worked in countries such as Madagascar and The Maldives. It was during this time he meet many different people and really started to believe that the underlining principle of travel and adventure is to grow by, learning new things, meeting new people and having fun!
eartH2Ocean adventures started with his partner, Lera, as a blog, but quickly learned that, although they love to share their passion, they don’t like to be in front of the camera (this doesn’t work well for blogging)
But this was how the eartH2Ocean adventures of today was created, a community of like minded people with different levels of skill and knowledge bought together to support each other and share the love for the outdoors!
